Designed for members of youth movements from around the world, this program introduces participants to the 21st century pioneers who are building modern life in southern Israel.
Program Goals:
- To introduce participants to David Ben Gurion’s vision to populate the Negev Desert and the Arava.
- To learn about the history, present, and future of this region.
This video (04:17) introduces Noa Zer, a modern-day pioneer who lives on Moshav Paran in the Arava desert, two hours away from the nearest city. In a place without water, this community’s prime livelihood is agriculture.
